Christian Responsibility for the Damnation of Humanity

 

I.                   Introduction:

 

A.     John 6:27, Matthew 16:24-26, Colossians 3:1-6: If we die and none spend eternity with God because of us, our lives have benefited neither God nor man

B.     Acts 5:25-28, Matthew 27:15-25: Responsibility for blood needs to be brought upon the guilty, by God’s Word

 

II.                What have Christians done to be responsible for the damnation of humanity?

 

A.     Ezekiel 3:17-18: By refusing to preach to people, Christians have allowed people to die in their sins (the blood of humanity is on non-preaching Christians’ hands)

B.     Leviticus 17:11, Genesis 4:8-11, Ecclesiastes 12:7, Hebrews 9:27: By refusing to preach to people and allowing people to die in their sins, Christians have allowed people to be judged by God while in their sins

C.      Romans 3:23, Exodus 32:33, Revelation 20:11-15: By refusing to preach to people, Christians have allowed people to be cast into the lake of fire for eternity

 

III.             What are the consequences of Christians’ refusal to preach Christ to people?

 

A.     Revelation 20:14-15: The people in sin whom Christians refuse to preach to will be cast into the lake of fire

B.     1 Corinthians 9:16-17, 2 Corinthians 5:10-11: Woe and the terror of the Lord will come upon Christians for not preaching, on Judgment Day

C.     Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, Matthew 22:35-40, 1 John 4:8, 1 John 3:14-15: Christians who refuse to love others by preaching God Who is Love to others will be cast into the lake of fire (unless they repent from this sin, as they must from any other sin, and begin obeying Christ’s command)

 

IV.              What are the responsibilities that Christians refuse to fulfill?

 

A.     Ezekiel 3:17: Knowing, accepting, obeying God-given responsibility to live as a watchman

B.     Ezekiel 3:17: Hearing the Word at God’s Mouth concerning being a watchman

C.     Ezekiel 3:17: Giving people warning from God

D.     Ezekiel 3:18: Telling people that they will die and be cast into the lake of fire for their sin

E.      Ezekiel 16:2: Showing people their abominations

F.      Ezekiel 33:3: Seeing judgment coming upon the land

G.     Ezekiel 33:3: Blowing the trumpet by preaching the approaching judgment seen

H.     Ezekiel 33:3: Warning people

I.        Ezekiel 33:8: Speaking

J.       Ezekiel 33:8: Warning the wicked from his wicked way (specific sins)

K.    Isaiah 43:10: Living as witnesses that there are no other true gods besides Christ

L.      Isaiah 43:11: Living as witnesses that there is no Savior besides Jesus Christ

M.   Isaiah 43:12, John 9:35-36, 10:30-36, 1:1,14,17, 1 John 5:7: Living as witnesses that Jesus Christ  is God

N.    John 1:12, Acts 1:8, Matthew 10:8: Freely giving the salvation that has been freely received

O.    Matthew 12:25-30: Gathering people to God with Christ

P.      Matthew 28:19-20, Ephesians 4:8-11, 2 Corinthians 5:17-20: Equipping people to reconcile people to God through Christ

Q.    2 Timothy 2:19, John 8:11, 1 John 3:9, Romans 14:23, 10:17, Joshua 1:8, Mark 16:15: Departing from all iniquity and sinning no more, by obeying Christ’s command to preach to every person

 

V.                 What influences contribute to Christian rebellion against Christ’s command to preach?

 

A.     Proverbs 29:25: The fear of man

B.     Proverbs 29:26, Galatians 1:10, Colossians 3:23: Serving man instead of God

C.     2 Timothy 1:7: Not being spiritually stirred-up but submitting to the spirit of fear

D.     Acts 5:25-29: Obeying man instead of God

E.      Matthew 22:35-40: Not loving others as much as self is loved

F.      John 14:15: Not loving God

G.     2 Timothy 3:1-5: Loving pleasure more than God

H.     Matthew 4:17-19, Luke 4:43, John 20:21, 3:17, 1 John 2:3-6: Not Biblically following Christ

I.        1 John 3:8: Not being a Biblical Christian, but being of the devil

J.        Ecclesiastes 12:13-14: Not doing duty as a Christian, and, therefore, not being a Biblical Christian

 

VI.              What is it that Christians are responsible to Christ to preach?

 

A.     John 16:7-11: Sin, righteousness, judgment

B.     Luke 13:3,5, Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:14-15, Luke 5:31-32, 24:45-48, John 2:13-16, 5:14, 8:11, Acts 20:21: Repent

C.     Isaiah 58:1: That which exposes sin

D.     Romans 3:19-20: God’s Law, the Ten Commandments

1.      Romans 7:7,13: Law makes sin exceedingly sinful

2.      Romans 3:23, 1 Timothy 1:9-12,15,: Law is for sinners

3.      Psalms 19:7: Law is perfect, converting the soul

4.      Galatians 3:24: Law brings sinners to Christ

5.      Matthew 3:1-2, 5-6, Mark 1:4-5, Luke 3:2-3, 8-9, 12-14: Law was preached by John the Baptist

6.      Luke 10:25-26, Matthew 19:16-26, Mark 1:17-27, John 4:15-18: Revelation 2:4-5, 14-16, 20-23, 3:3, 19: Law was preached by the Lord Jesus Christ

7.      Acts 17:30, 20:21, 26:20: Law was preached by Paul the Apostle

8.      Exodus 31:18, Deuteronomy 9:10: Law is only portion of God’s Word directly written by God Himself

 

E.      2 Corinthians 7:9,10: Christ: only after people are made sorry enough, by hearing the Law, that they choose to commit their lives and will to forever forsaking sin and self, and loving Christ by completely obeying Him
